امروز یک آدم قوی تری باشید
پس نترسید ،
یا پیروزید، یا قوی تر
حالا با این طرز تفکر
میتوان گفت پیروز نخواهید شد؟
گاهی مجبوری یاد بگیری کنار بگذاری؛
ارتباط با آدم هایی که کنارت گذاشتند،
خواستن آنهاییه که تو را نخواستند،
و فکر کردن به کسانی که به تو فکر نمیکنند.
سخت است ولی مگر چاره دیگری داری؟
و مجبوری یاد بگیری هیچ کس را برایِ رفتاری که دارد، قضاوت نکنی!
همانطور که ما تا جایی که به دیگران آسیب نزنیم به خودمان مربوطیم،
حتما دیگران هم برای رفتارهایشان، هزار و یک دلیل دارند و مهمترین دلیلشان همین؛
که به خودشان مربوط اند!
زندگی موهبتی الهی است اما همه این را فراموش كرده اند. هیچكس بابت موهبت زندگی ازخدا تشكر نمی كند. برعكس، همه پیوسته شكوه و شكایت می كنند. مردم شكرگزار نیستند. چنین هدیه ای گرانبها، بی همتا و یگانه به آنان ارزانی شده اما آنان چنان احمق اند كه نمی توانند قدردان آن باشند. زندگی را چنان بدیهی می شمارند كه انگار حقشان بوده! هستی حق ما نیست. ما نمی توانیم مدعی آن باشیم. شایسته آن نیستیم. ارزش آنرا نداریم. به این دلیل به ما داده نشده كه شایسته آن هستیم، بلكه خدا نمی تواند در برابر وسوسه بخشیدن آن مقاومت كند.
او سرشار از انرژی زندگی است، بنابراین آنرا بر ما جاری می كند. به ثروتمندان و فقیرها، به شایسته ها و ناشایستها، به گناهكاران و پرهیزگاران، به همه. برای او هیچ فرقی نمی كند. به همه می بخشد. خدا به همه می بخشد، زیرا چنان سرشار است كه اگر نبخشد گران بار می شود. چون ابری پر باران است. باید كه ببارد. بر سنگها، بر صخره ها، بر بیابانها، بر همه جا می بارد.
آگاه شدن از این حقیقت، همان دینداری است. این آگاهی، خودآگاهی تو را دگرگون می كند. آنگاه تو دیگر نه شكوه و شكایت، بلكه شكرگزاری خواهی كرد- و این شكرگزاری عبادت است.
